Consciously or unconsciously, most people make sacrifices of some sort. Unfortunately, they often sacrifice health, family, religion, or other priceless possessions in order to gain the transitory pleasures of wealth, power, status, or fame.
Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls - work, family, health, friends and religion - in the air, and you are trying to keep all of them off the ground. You will soon realize that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls - your family, health, friends, and spiritual life - are much more fragile. If you drop one of these, it will be scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged, or even shattered. It will never be the same again. You must understand that, and strive to balance all parts of your life.

Americans pride themselves on being the best-fed nation on earth. But they are paying a high price for the privilege - in needless disease, disability, and premature death.
What are they doing wrong?
Americans and an increasing number of people in developing countries are eating too much of nearly everything--too much fat, too much cholesterol, and too much salt. They eat too many calories. And they eat too often. Such abundance has helped lay the foundation for coronary artery disease, stroke, high blood pressure, arthritis, adult-onset diabetes, obesity, and several kinds of cancer. These chronic diseases will be responsible for three out of four deaths worldwide by the year 2020. They are related to lifestyle, especially how people eat.
Disease from food? You must mean pesticides and preservatives! Surprisingly, pesticides and preservatives aren't the worst offenders. Here are some of the more serious culprits: Sugar, Refined Foods, Salt, Fat, Protein, Beverages, Snacks.
Is there anything safe to eat? Yes! Think fruit - many varieties, spectacular colours, and every imaginable texture and flavour. Go for vegetables, potatoes, and yams. Include legumes - all kinds of beans, lentils, chickpeas--in scores of shapes, colors and flavours. And don't forget the grains like whole-wheat, oats, and millet--the mainstay of a good diet and goldmine of delectable and healthful foods.
Eating a variety of whole plants foods will furnish all the fat, protein, fiber, and nutrients the body needs. It's also ecologically sensitive and will reduce your food budget.
The best news is that this kind of dietary lifestyle helps delay, arrest, and reverse, and often prevents the onset fo most killer diseases. Eating full-fibre plant foods not only allows people to eat larger quantities of food without haveing to worry about weight gain, but it also promotes optimum health and energy for a lifetime.
This is just a glimps into our health class. In this class you will learn how to make many different healthy dishes that are zero cholesteral, and we also enphazis charity work as an outlet to get people off themselves and thinking of others. We need to focus on our health be eating the most nutritious food we can find, and also reaching out to do something to help others.
